About Us

Northern Nevada Legal Aid (formerly Washoe Legal Services) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit legal aid organization founded in 1965. Northern Nevada Legal Aid has provided free or low-cost advice, assistance, or representation in civil matters to thousands of Northern Nevada residents with the goal to eliminate barriers to access the legal system for our society’s most vulnerable members, to protect their rights, keep them safe, and provide stability. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that everyone has access to the legal system and that everyone is treated with respect and dignity.
